I mean Sparta! Err… wait, is Sparta in Scotland?

Nevermind the fact that Gerard Butler (King Leonidas) had a Scottish accent, I really enjoyed 300. I’ve not read or seen the graphic novel, but I had heard that the film did a good job of capturing the look and feel of Frank Miller’s work and I certainly felt that aspect come through while watching. I also loved the use of slow motion during the battle scenes…not quite Matrix-esque, but very good on its own.

I’m planning on seeing it again at the IMAX for all three stories of violent glory.
